Soothe Roots

Gloria (right) has been an integral part of Soothe from the beginning, both as financial and confidential support when friend Tammy initiated the business. Cheers to Tammy who got Soothe off the ground two decades ago!

As sole owner for the past fifteen years, Gloria extends a deep appreciation to all who have graced the doorway(s) of Soothe over her twenty year story, in any of the previous locations, and in any capacity; a client, an employee, a student, a mentor, a partner for an event, a volunteer for a community charity fundraiser - yoga teacher or educator for a retreat or during the time when Soothe yoga studio had a life. She wants all who have come and gone to know, your gift of presence remains in the heart.

Gloria's daughter Skye (left) grew up with Soothe and has been an essential part of the business over the years.  Skye is now a freelance makeup artist for film and television (having worked on many shows including Star Trek, The Boys on Prime, to key of Son of a Critch locally.) Skye co-hosted special events at Soothe for makeup masterclasses, and tutorials.  Previous to that she offered everything from makeup and esthetics services, receptionist skills, cleaning skills to keen insights and supportive friendship.

Soothe evolves and changes. With as little as one to as many as ten colleagues over the years, and everything in between, the fluctuations in business, transitions in industry and changes in economy have all brought deep personal learning and reflection.

This learning and reflection, along with continued training in industry, brings Soothe to a position of specialty / streamlining in services - an exciting and fulfilling endeavor for Gloria. Like they say; do what you love and love what you do.
